US Army Kits are complete with every component to install a fording kit on a vehicle that did not have one.
USMC Kits are only "partial" kits, as the vehicles were already prepared with the fording cable and all components related installed. So USMC kits only include the intake and exhaust components and related brackets.
Kit for mounting the M16 rifle on the drivers side of the vehicle. Information dates this kit to December of 1969 for development. So with a 1970 as earliest production
The ROPS system was the single most destructive thing done outside of the demilitarization of the M151A2. The roll over "problem" was all but rectified with the advent of the A2 and the suspension layout. With 50 plus extra holes in the vehicle and the cutting of the rear fenders & braces. My personal opinion on ROPS is it should never be installed in a vehicle by a collector. You increase the center of gravity of the vehicle, and severely devalue the vehicle for a very limited amount of increased safety.
